David Hawkins and the 5-Star team at Joe Morris & Son Funeral Home are phenomenal. When you find yourself needing a compassionate, professional team to guide and assist you through the process of celebrating and honoring a loved one who has transitioned, I strongly recommend Joe Morris & Son. October 11, 2021 was a shocking, surreal, painful day for my family. While traveling from Atlanta to Pensacola, I learned that my beloved father, Sam Huff, passed at 10:15 am CT. Roughly three hours later, my daughter’s mother, Shielda Crenshaw, passed in Atlanta (Covid-19). During the course of a few hours, my daughter and I were faced with planning and coordinating two funerals, scheduled two days apart, in two states. My father’s homegoing celebration honored the life of this wise, loving, Christian gentleman. This successful celebration could not have been achieved without the expert care and guidance of David Hawkins and his team. I am deeply grateful to Joe Morris & Son. Ken

I just wanted to share my experience with Joe Morris Funeral Home. Recently my mother passed after a long fight with cancer. Despite her illness her passing came as a tremendous shock. Before her passing, she had always told us kids, that when she left us to go to Joe Morris Funeral Home because they would know what to do. At the time I really didn't understand what she was talking about, I just assumed that she just want them to handle her final arrangements. After her death, I did as I know she would have wanted, and rushed down to the funeral home. Scared, unsure, and completely not being prepared to go through that experience, I arrived at the funeral home crying. As I was sitting down with the representative answering questions, I told her my mother's name. she excused herself, and came back with a file with a comforting grin. What I didn't realize was that my mother had already come by some months before, and pre-arranged her services. I was shocked, and asking a lot of questions, until it finally dawned on me. My mom cared enough as a final gesture to me and my family to arrange everything ahead of time, eliminating the difficult decisions she knew I would have to make on the worst day of my life! Everything was handled and even paid for, I just had to answer a few questions, and sign some papers. What a blessing her final gift to us was on that terrible day. Thank you for the kindness you showed me on that day from your funeral home. Your confident presence and experience made what was a very difficult day much more comforting. The service was the most beautiful ever. Thank you Mama, and thank all you folks at Joe Morris!
